New York Radiation Oncology Associates is a privately-owned freestanding facility located at 140-40 Queens Blvd., Jamaica, NY 11435. It specializes in the treatment of cancer with radiation, and it has been providing radiation oncology services to patients from Brooklyn, Queens and Nassau County in Long Island for more than 10 years. Our facility has a close affiliation with The Jamaica Hospital and Flushing Medical Center.

Dr. Rene Mediavillo is the President and CEO of New York Radiation Oncology Associates. He is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist, who for more than a decade has provided the highest level of care to thousands of cancer patients in the New York Metropolitan area, including Nassau County in Long Island, NY. He has been one of the leading experts in the radiation oncology community in this locality.

Dr. Mediavillo’s commitment to cancer care includes his participation as a member and contributor at the weekly and monthly multi-disciplinary Tumor Board conferences at The Jamaica Hospital/Medisys Health System. He has a vast array of clinical experience in the treatment of all forms of cancer, with particular interest in the treatment of lung cancer, breast cancer, head and neck cancer, prostate cancer and other gynecologic cancers, skin cancer, and gastrointestinal cancer.

He is highly experienced in the delivery of Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), as well as HDR Brachytherapy. These technologies are proven to ensure the highest level of cancer cure rates while minimizing side-effects and maintaining remarkable quality of life outcome. Dr. Mediavillo performed his Radiation Oncology residency training at State University of New York, Health and Sciences Center.
